Black Walnut Festival

The events of the day included:

A 10K race (4th overall, 3rd in my age group).  You won't be seeing an after picture (the before race picture of me is bad enough).

Baby contest (2nd place).

Checking out all the booths...stopping for a picture at the entrance.

Watch a parade (Lynnae waving from her fancy car).

And that night we went to a pagent...but it rained so I left my camera in the car.

My new blog...

I've been keeping our family blog here, however my web address has nothing to do with my married name.  I thought it was about time that I start a blog with Guerra somewhere in the url.

chalk {i heart faces}

I just happened to run into my friend Stacy...and I just happened to mention how I wanted to enter this photography contest dealing with chalk...and she just happens to have cute kids and a ton of chalk so...

Have you ever heard of I heart faces? So fun! Every week they have a photo contest with different themes. I've always wanted to do one of the contests, but have never got around to it.

Let me say, I don't by ANY means think I'm going to win this one (even though Stacy's kids are ADORABLE!). I know my picture isn't original and every other entry is a kid writing with sidewalk chalk. I just wanna start breaking into these little contests. Good way to sharpen my photography skills and get my creative juices flowing. Head over and check it out. It's a fun site!

Liam- 7 months

It's been awhile since I've posted pictures of Liam, and I thought these were just too cute to pass up.  I just love his cheeks and little mouth!  And those eyelashes!  Definately not from me.  He now has 8 teeth and is eating like a champ.  Still hasn't mastered crawling (well, unless you count going backwards).  He'll get it though.  Anyways, that's about as exciting as it gets around here...wow, I've become one of those parents that has nothing better to talk about other than her child...stay tuned for more about my son's bowel movements...to be continued...
