We decided to see the Mayan ruins at Tulum which involved taking a water taxi & a bus ride to get there.
The boys loved all the iguanas!
You can vaguely see it, but on the temple is engraven 3 gods, which is interesting to me because of my beliefs in the godhead. One tour guide there believed these Mayan's were a Lamanite group who because of their lineage, had many of the Jewish traditions/beliefs, although somewhat degenerated. The engravings from left to right are- "the" god (our Heavenly Father), the middle engraving was a god pictured upside down descending from a mother's womb (also descending to earth, Jesus Christ) & the last spot is blank (the Holy Ghost who does not have a body).
A little shopping for souvenirs (my tradition is a deck of cards, a magnet & a Christmas ornament)...
& beach time before the water taxi heads back.
Dad, Chaz & me enjoying the comfort of the ferry boat's A/C on our ride back after being in sweltering heat all day!
